A little over a year ago, Pomann Sound began mixing a film called Life of an Actress. The acclaimed musical turned movie follows the aspirations of three actresses in different phases of their career while working at an unstable showbiz diner. With great performances and a story truly unique to New York, we were excited to put our own touch on this production. You can catch Life of an actress playing in New York at the Quad Cinema from Dec, 19th to the 25th. and in LA at the NoHo Theater Theater Dec, 18th

This is Batman, take one

A younger generation might know him as the voice of Mayor West in Family Guy, but for the rest of us, Adam West is Batman. In town for a busy weekend at Comic Con, West stopped by Pomann Sound to promote Warner Bros. box set release of the Original Batman series on Blu Ray and DVD. At the ripe age of 86, West still looks like he could beat up everyone in the room with a Boom Kaa-Pow! and a smile of course. You can grab the box set this November.

#RE2PECT

Jeter's career in baseball came to an end last month as he finally decided to hang up the laces and hit the greens. Even if you're not a New Yorker, or a fan of the Yankee's, I'm sure you're aware of Derek Jeter's prolific 20 year career. If you don't, thats ok. Airing all of October you can hear Pomann Sounds mix for "A Tribute", a special on Derek Jeter where you can re live all of Derek's iconic moments in pin stripes.

You can catch a preview for the special here or watch the full thing on FOX Sports 1.

Opening this February at the Cort Theater, David will star in his self written play "Fish in the Dark" which of corse focuses on an old curmudgeon of a man. Unfortunately, Susie will not be appearing in the show, but we'll welcome her back to Pomann anytime!

All joking aside, we couldn't have been happier for Colbert who won for Outstanding Variety Series...and thats, the word!

Inspired by the music of Tupac Shakur, the whole cast was at Premier Studios as we laid down vocals for three songs that were all mixed at Pomann Sound by Justin Kaupp. To see a sneak peak, check out this behind the scenes video of us recording at Premier Sound, the same studio Tupac recorded at... #chills

Pomann Sound Mixes Film for Tribeca

For a little over a month Pomann Sound has had the unique opportunity to work with Grace Mcleod. A recent high school grad who wrote, shot and directed Under the Table will be premiering her short film tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival. Her story focuses on a young woman bringing home her girlfriend for the first time to a pretentiously liberal thanksgiving dinner. We were so pleased to be able to mix the final picture and can't wait to see what the future holds for Grace. For more information check out this great article on Under the Table and more about the film here.

Baseball Legend Comes to Pomann

Yankee legend and baseball great Joe Torre stopped by the studio this week to record VO for J.H. Cohn and the creatives at Source Communication. Known for his gruff demeanor on the field, Joe was anything but that and was real pleasure to work with in the studio...even if I did make him miss the elevator to take this picture...
