It's been a tight deadline with the full series 'The Deadliest Job Interview," for the Discovery Channel. With just one day to mix per show and pumped out the very same week, it's definitely risky business. You can see it tonight, Friday March 11th, 11/10c

Risky Business
Meanwhile, continuing on from our 'Walking Dead Month,' some would say that our own mixers Max, Rich and Justin have one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet...

Fall 2015 Recap

Happy December!
After a much needed restful and filling holiday weekend, we're happy to be back at the studio and ready to get back to work!
It's been an exciting couple of months here at Pomann Sound. We've had the pleasure of working with some of our long time friends and collaborators as well as meeting some great new people that we hope to work with again many times in the future. Here's just a short recap of some of the projects we've wrapped up in the past couple of months...
Would you make a better millionaire?
We were lucky to work with the awesome creative team at McCann on the new NY Lottery radio campaign. We created a bunch of hilarious spots featuring different ways millionaires spend their money foolishly. We wrote original minstrel music, recorded a professional recorder player, created a fake radio show, actually almost broke an iPhone recording foley and recorded hours and hours of people pretending to be a cats....poorly. You can hear the English and Spanish versions of the spots now!
Who doesn't love ice cream and folk instruments?!
Our good friends over at Mekanism were back at the studio last month to have us produce original music and sound design for a new worldwide Ben & Jerry's TV spot. We finally got some use out of our ukuleles and shakers! The whole team played on this track which was originally written by Max Conklin...Yummm
A final run in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup!
Ogilvy and Beast Editorial were here earlier this month to work on a new NASCAR TV spot featuring Jeff Gordon to commemorate his final race at the NASCAR Sprint Cup. We had a lot of fun working with creative Jack Lowe from Ogilvy on the sound design and mix. We were able to use archival sound clips and Bob's custom recorded sounds to create the immersive and nostalgic feeling that was needed to highlight this important milestone. It premiered during the Bank of America 500 and we were really proud with how it came out...Congrats on a great career Jeff!
Sports Sports Sports
Continuing with our sports themed month, we were thrilled to be tagged by NBC Sports to sound design and mix their new global branding commercial which you can now see/hear on all NBC channels. Mixer/sound designer Justin Kaupp and creative director Bob Pomann worked together and pulled out all the stops in creating this intense promo. If you listen closey you might be able to hear some of us yelling!

Frog is accepted into the Manhattan Film Festival
Summer is here and that means more film productions and more film festivals.
Pomann Sound has wrapped the sound designed on Frog and we are proud to announce the film's admittance into the Manhattan Film Festival. Frog was directed by Tyler A. Wallach, sound designed and mixed by Justin Kaupp, and stars Liam Foley and Clare Foley. A lot of hard work and time has gone into Frog, and we will be sure to support our friends at Red Leaf Productions at the world premiere on June 20th.
