Pomann Engineers and Intern Recognized In Halloween Contest

Pomann Engineers Max Conklin and Justin Kaupp and intern Rich Cerbini received high honors after participating in a competition held by Blastwave FX, distributor of sound effects libraries.

Judged by sound designers who have worked on everything from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings to Ugly Betty and Call of Duty, the contest drew hundreds of applicants to use a provided set of sound effects to create a 30-second or less Halloween-themed spot. Max and Justin received second place for their spot "Baby of Death." Rich received third place for his spot "Hide and Seek"

Pomann Teams Up with Ogilvy and Go Robot! For Dave Matthews UPS Spot

Pomann Sound provided sound design and mix for a series of internet videos to promote UPS’ new echo-responsible touring efforts. Last Summer UPS joined with Live Nation to offer eco-conscious artists and festivals like Dave Matthews Band Caravan ways to reduce their carbon impact. UPS’ work with Dave Matthews alone helped neutralize over 47 tons of CO2—equal to the CO2 emissions from 4,837 gallons of gas.

What do Warner Bros. and FX have in common?

You knew he was funny but did you also know he's voicing Speedy Gonzales? Comedian Fred Armisen, now in his ninth season on Saturday Night Live, recently recorded at Pomann for Warner Brother's Looney Toons as the animated mouse. Armisen returned to Pomann a few days later to voice a character for the FX animated comedy series “Unsupervised”, which stars comedian Justin Long.
